[Xerte] Recording video

Some guidance and suggestions please.
 
When recording a video showing actions on a PC/Laptop desktop, what is
the best resolution to use for the desktop so that the resulting video
is clear and of a size to fit into an Xerte page. What is the maximum
size of a video clip and what settings are optimal. Ones I have seen on
for example youtube always appear to be blurred/fuzzy and difficult to
read.
