The latest version of desktop Xerte supports the creation of "page" type
projects which are the replacement for the page wizards in that this
project type makes available every page template available in XOT and a few
that are not available in XOT, whilst still giving you full access to the
Xerte editor and the structure of each page in your project.

You create a "page" type project from the menu system by selecting

Pages / Create New Page Project

The Page type projects include a wizard form for the learning object -
double click on the learning object icon in the project tree to open the
form and then click on Advance Display - this will let you configure a
number of your project properties.

You can find out more about how this has been achieved by looking into the
scripts
Learning object
  capture display values

which just allocates the values entered into the wizard form into variables

and

Learning Object
  Interface
    background
      narration handlers
         onLoadStyles
            Do Advanced Display

Which takes the variables assigned in the first script and applies them to
the project. It is this script which will show you how you can set the
properties of a number of the projects display elements.

Hope this helps

Kind regards
