Just now you can manipulate anything (which is not always a good thing) but soon you will only be able to access info via some public methods which will expose this data... just now I'm thinking that in relation to pages I'll be exposing the IDs (both if available) and things like visited, but it may be that the page models will expose properties of their own. For example the mcq page may pass data about the page status - completed etc...

You can either define a custom page ID structure (Section1Page3 etc) and parse that or define a lookup table (something like {'Section 1':[1, 5], 'Section 2':[6,12] etc etc) and then use that and the page numbers...

Whatever is required can be exposed...

Once I've modified the xenith core and restructured some of the page models then I will attempt to put together an example menu to make sure the principle works...

Subject: [Xerte] Menu / navigating in XOT2

Is it possible to tie into the xerte paging data in XOT2 and use it for navigating? For example, if we knew which page number was the end of each module, we could possibly navigate back to the menu after that page when the 'next' button was clicked, etc. Not sure if this type of 'below the hood' data is available to us.
