Sounds like you have a project selected rather than workspace e.g. if you are seeing export it suggests you have an LO selected
Perhaps refresh, select the workspace icon and then properties - you should see 4 tabs one of which is import

Hi - should it be possible to import back into XOT an exported Scorm zip file? In my hosted installation of XOT, when I click on my workspace and go to 'Properties' I can see an export option but no import option -
