[Xerte] Re: WordPress Plugin "Loading XML..." Message

Hi Pat

I deleted the plugin, changed the name of the folder to "xerte-online", and activated it.

In the Xerte Editor I can now enter a title to the LO and add pages OK. But when I try to play it it again hangs with the "Loading XML..." message.

Using f12 in Chrome again it shows:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://olihaslam.com/course1/languages/language-config.xml

There isn't a folder on the server called:
http://olihaslam.com/course1

The file with that name is here:
http://olihaslam.com/languages/language-config.xml

Ah yes, it assumes it'll be in a folder called Xerte Online.

Deactivate the folder, then rename

I will rename it once tested a bit more

Hi
The name of the folder with the new plugin is different.
So the file being looked for:
http://olihaslam.com/wp-content/plugins/xerte-online/xertefiles/template/data.xwd
Is actually here:
http://olihaslam.com/wp-content/plugins/WordPress-Xerte-Online-Multi-master/xertefiles/template/data.xwd
Also, I noticed on the admin dashboard that the new plugin for multisite has the same name as the original plugin for standalone wordpress, i.e. 'Xerte Online'. Potentially confusing.

Doesn't work on the child sites either.

Just tried in Chrome and having same problems - clicking 'Insert' in the Xerte editor does nothing.

Hello,

Yep - it can't work on the network admin page as it messes stuff up.

Have you got chrome installed?

Hi Pat

I'm having trouble getting the new multisite plugin working.

I've installed the new plugin in my test multisite network, including adding the bit of code to the .htaccess file. It is 'Network Enabled' in the list of plugins from the Network Admin.

Trying to add a new LO on the main site of the network (olihaslam.com<http://olihaslam.com>) I get a message saying "Only networked sites can use this plugin, it cannot be used on the Admin DashboardBottom of Form"

So I've tried to add a new LO on one of the child sites on the network (olihaslam.com/course1<http://olihaslam.com/course1>). When I try this I can see the Xerte editor but cannot get any further. Clicking 'Insert' in the Xerte editor does nothing.

I've also tried deactivating the plugin at network level and activating it just for a single child site but still no good. Tried in Firefox and IE with same result.

Thanks

Oli

Hello,

If you're not using sub domains - https://github.com/patlockley/WordPress-Xerte-Online-Multi/archive/master.zip this should work.

I have done a little testing

Happy for bugs
