I know it's not very elegant, but can a local swf write a Flash cookie?

Yes the idea is to use xot to buid , then export and deploy locally,
I have to think in low quality of connection. So when the pupil has a connection may be he can send mail or download a new version ( for example)
Whne you say about a "satandalone player for windows" this means that in any case to run a "module for the pupil " as satand alone I need thies player?

Maybe the custom xerte page is the way to go then, I think that’s what I’d do. Saving the data might be more difficult – emailing it impossible if not connected. There is a standalone player for windows for xerte that allows you to write to the file system: install it, then save a .rlo / .rlt as .rla and run it. I write some code, not in flash .Somo php, some vb ( different kinds).I didnt start yet usein xerte locally, I will tray some of your recomendation.
