[Xerte] reinstalling Xerte

I think our installation of Xerte has gotten to the point where it would probably benefit from a full re-install. The problem is, I've got a load of student and staff data (e.g. templates) that would need to remain accessible/editable.

So, how possible would it be to run up another version of XOT, and then import all the user data/templates? I've got it running on the windows 2003 server with MySQL.
