Hi David

I just tested your svn updates locally with a clean install and everything
installed without problem. Good to have the prompt about php 5+ version in
the installer. Although I can see that requirement being a problem in some
educational organisations but as you say the potential risks with still
using PHP 4 arguably means that's a good thing!

I can see the language changer at the top of the page but I take it that
isn't going to change anything until the languages are in place?

Did you see the notes in the googledoc about export not working correctly
because it's not including the languages folder in the zip? Is that
something you're able to resolve?

Also Julian had asked: Can we put the focus in the login field when you hit
the welcome page?

Cheers

Ron

PHP 4 was end-of-lifed back in 2008 (2008/08/08).

See

I don't think it's unreasonable to no longer support PHP4.

>From a work capacity I haven't come across anyone using PHP 4 for ~3 years.

If you're planning for the XOT site you are installing to be accessible to
'the world' then you are likely to have security problems if you're still
using PHP4.

Having said all that, I'm about to commit a change to the code which will
remove the foreach($params as &$value). But I'm also about to commit some
other stuff which will definitely not be compatible with PHP4.

thanks,

David

Is there a dire necessity to force an upgrade to a php version that will

Thought for most languages that was the default, you had to be explicit if
you wanted an autonomous copy.
