I think you need to check your php.ini file.

I suspect PHP is outputting an error (for some reason) when trying to render the page(s). 

Normally the Apache error log would contain something of help. 

You may also see an error message right at the top of the page.

Hahaha.....

MySQL is owned by Oracle .... so yes, I can imagine them thinking of $$$$ first.
