I've often wondered if there should be a conditional that looks for
styles.css in media first before common. That way a single XOT installation
could have different styles for different LO's by the user uploading a
stylesheet via media and quota.

I think that would be quite popular.

That’s one way.

 

Basically the options are

- use the style sheet for colours etc;

- turn visuals off and either add your own content in the entry frame;

- turn visuals off and make your own swf to act as the interface

- modify XMLEngine.fla

More likely the .rlt templates.

 

Set visuals to 0 and add the needed functionality in the LO entry frame.

That's my guess.
