Did the same this weekend, and had no issues. All seem to be working fine.

XOT 1.7, Moodle 2.0.5, Windows Xampp installation.

When you say moodle_integration.php, I assume you mean the renamed 
moodle_integration.txt (renamed to index.php).

I did as was recommended ans installed xot in one of the subdirectories 
of Moodle.
