Sounds like this needs an issue logging on /p/xerteonlinetoolkits and the debate moving to the code repo issues comments. Just thinking aloud, but I think we only need to discuss things here until we know there is a problem. An issue should then be logged, and further discussion logged under the issue. The issue can be closed when the issue has been fixed with a commit.

Errr I think I upgraded the flux capicitors and set the tardis to organic.

diff the files?

The first and last name come from another function called get user 
details which does the same thing with the LDAP as the login.

Maybe that was the difference - does your old valid login just return 
true / false?

I think new login returns an array?
