Sorry, only the macromedia flash help really - not sure where a dataprovider might be - try the repo?

I'd have a text field tied to a change handler on the list.

Right, but can I split the pane or is that an addon/separate entity?

e.g.

----------------------------
term | |
term | |
term | | definition of highlighted term in scrollable list on left shows up here
term | |
term | |
term | |
----------------------------

So

List.dataprovder = xml_tree

List.dataprovider.childNode[List.selectedindex].othervalue

I think

Anyone savvy on the list component?
Trying to save myself some bumbling around.

Trying to do a dictionary type thing

term: a definition (that may be long enough to wrap)

So, does the list just load the terms and I catch an event(index) then populate some other thing with the definition?
e.g. is the list just a list, or can it be configured to have a split pane?

Dave
