[Xerte] Re: Embedding Videos

youtube provide an api and Julian has built a page that makes use of that
and strips out the video ID from the embed code and provides that to the
youtube component. The YouTube xerte page isn't displaying the video from
the embed code like a html page would. This is a limitation of flash rather
than specific to Xerte.

In that case you'd need to add some code to textVideo.rlm or create your own
dedicated page type.

 

Xerte is Flash, your embed code is meant for a html page not a flash movie.
Perhaps vshare provides an api to help achieve this.

 

is that not just the same for a youtube embed code? The youtube embed codes
are meant for html pages.
