[Xerte] Re: LDAP authentication

Ok I've managed to get around the issue but I had to modify the login_library.php source code.
I added @ldap_set_option($ds, LDAP_OPT_REFERRALS,0);
On line 139 and it will now search the root of active directory.

Not sure if anyone else had this issue but it is a problem if your active directory has separate ou's for staff and students coming off the root.

Sadly yes :(

You should be able to auth to multiple DNs by splitting them with $$$ so for each host add a new value after the current value and then put a $$$ as a delimiter.

The next version of toolkits will have support for multiple LDAP domains.

Hi Patrick,
I have got it working now, didn't realise I had to use a different index.php

Now I have a slight issue where the ldap auth only appears to work if I supply an OU in the base dn.
I need to be able to search multiple OU's so would need it to simply have the root as the base dn.

Do you have any experience with this?

Regards
Andy

What system did you use before - the demo.php function?

I have setup the authentication details but I want to now know how to enable Xerte to use authentication with active directory. Is there any guides on this as the installation guide I have doesn't provide me with much information.

Navigate to management.php and login as admin

I am currently setting up LDAP authentication for xerte and after specifying the LDAP details I cannot see where you set Xerte to use LDAP authentication. Can anyone help?
