Strange things.

<img src="bullet.png" id="thing"/>here is a bullet point

produces:
* here is a bullet point (*=actual bullet graphic)

Some leading text <img src="bullet.png" id="thing"/>here is a bullet point

produces:
Some leading text here is a bullet point
*

Anything between the <img and newline shifts the graphic down to the next line.
The image is not linked to the text object.
It works as a bullet by fluke. 

inspecting thing._x and _y shows 0 and 0 (at least not undefined, so it must be there. but can't set it or get anything other than 0,0) 
  
In bumbling around, I also ran across this:

If I try to use

<textformat blockindent='10'>here is a bullet point</textformat>

It gets superceded by <tex apparently and attempts to run the forkosh.dreamhost cgi script and produce some latex.

Where is that .png being loaded?

Do I have access to it?



Here's my thought.

I have a series of random gapfills in sentences.

I insert a dummy png the shape of the gapfill into the string as needed.



Fill in the <img src="dummy.png"/> and call it <img src="dummy.png"/>



Then use the position of those dummies to position my actual text inputs.
