Touchstone does something with fonts to do equations etc, so that won't work for the flash player.

Yes, but what about existing LO's then?

You would need latex (for the fonts) and dvipng on the server. The 
server has to be a *nix flavour, or you have to port the mathtex code to 
Windows.
