Thanks

Suspect it's a problem with the template development side of things.

I'll look at it next week once ALT is done.

Subject: [Xerte] XOT bug when exporting LO's based on Multiple
Perspectivesand Media Interactions templates + short term fix

Hi Julian/Pat

Hope ALT-C is going well.

I'm reporting this now while I have time to do so but I know you're at
the conference so have identified a manual fix for now....

Someone from an organisation I support reported having trouble with
exporting LO's based on the Multiple Perspectives whereby the pre-loader
appears but doesn't display the LO. However the same LO works fine when
viewed via toolkits. I did some testing and to eliminate the particular
installation being used by testing again with a recent localhost install
and the same issue arises. I'm guessing this hasn't cropped up before
because these two templates are used less than the main template and
also the problem only arises when the LO's are exported. The exported
LO's from these two templates are looking for xml files named
differently to those exported. Details as follows:

Multiple Perspectives

Basically the exported learningobject.rlt file is looking for data.xml
but the exported file is named template.xml

Short term fix rename template.xml to data.xml in the exported directory

Media Interactions

In this case the learningobject.rlt is looking for mediaInteractions.xml
but the exported file is named template.xml

Short term fix rename template.xml to mediaInteractions.xml in the
exported directory

Not sure if this is some renaming code not working properly but like I
say these are results tested with the current toolkits download (site
not repository)

HTH

Ron
