What happens when you run the RLO in the SCORM Test Suite?

Yes I appreciate that scorm tracking isn't just about assessment but again this isn't currently built into the XOT template. The real value of XOT is when the LO's are kept in the central installation and linked or embedded rather than imported as scorm. If you really want to make use of scorm tracking throughout it would be a case of using the developer tool and including whatever tracking you require.

If enabled in an XOT LO scorm tracking definitely does work when imported as scorm into Moodle so I'm not sure why it's not working for you. Perhaps Julian or Pat or someone else on the list will reply on Monday.

Regards

Ron

Thank you for your quick answer and the tutorials. Tracking is not working though, even if I limit my learning object to a quiz and enabled scorm tracking. Anyway, the usefulness of tracking is not limited to assessment. For example, a teacher could be interested in learning if a student really visited a certain section of the learning object, and how much time he spent on it.

Cheers, Franck

The only page type in the current XOT template which provides score tracking is the quiz page type and you have to select the settings in that page type to enable the tracking.

You could obviously adapt the template in the developer tool or develop LO's directly in the developer tool to include additional tracked interactions but otherwise I would suggest keeping Quiz LO's separate or using the moodle tools for tracked assessments and linking to them from LO's.

I put a couple of screencasts about using XOT with Moodle on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EGzPM3dDyY and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDF1WjhQ90U

Hello,

Scorm is a lot about tracking, isn't it? Unfortunately I can't get any tracking on moodle (1.9.9) from scorm packages generated with xerte online toolkit (Maxos 152). Does anyone have a solution to offer?

Cheers, Franck Petit
