I was just about to post "Forget it" I'll just set them on init:

btn_back.tip = interfaceData.navigation[0].back[0].tooltip;


But if  you're going to futz with it, any way to get a line break char of some kind in there?
<b>, \n, ^p whatever?

Give this a try: put the expression in { } to make it expression().
