[Xerte] Formats within LMS best practices

Any decent LMS ought to handle 1.2 even if it's 2004. ADL made a converter available and they should have implemented it. 1.2 is a lot easier for simple cases (which is most of them),

For you folks who live in LMS's, I have some questions:

SCORM 1.2, 2004 or ??
Why?

.avis > flv right? Any rec's on the conversion tool?

Same question for .wav

graphics format? .png? Favourite conversion tool?

Any other tricks you use for Xerte in LMS's and minimizing portability issues?
