You can upload other files via the properties panel and then hyperlink to them or as has been suggested use http://print2flash.com and then use the flashpaper page type. However do also remember that the best solution in terms of accessibility in many cases would be to re-purpose the pdf documents as native xerte pages e.g. accessible screen size chunks perhaps with some interactivity not contained in the original pdf's.
