Hello,

Chmod 0777 means full write and read access on a *nix system.

On windows, just make those folders fully read and writable by whatever
apache runs as, usually something like IIS....

Or for the installer, make it writable by everyone just to make it
happem smoothly.

Cheers

Pat

Subject: [Xerte] Xerteonlinetoolkit installation

Hi

I am trying to install and run XOT on an existing Apache Server which is
also running Moodle. I have worked out how to create virtualhosts for
both. When I run the full install wizard from
http://localhost/xertetoolkits/setup it is talking about setting access
to certain folders to write for chmod 777. How do I do this? I know how
to set folder access normally but is there somewhere whithin Apache or
is it Windows file security i have to deal with
