You might want to view the html source of the new index.php after
running it. Sometimes things don't display on the page because the html
gets messed up, but it might still be readable in the source.

Just looked at server log files and the error files for Xerte and
nothing is reported its really weird...

Ok

There are nine echo 123's in the code,

So the code is running to complete, but not echoing any of the other
code?

I was expecting it to die at some point, and am a bit lost now as to why
it would not echo any of the screen out.

Can you access the log files?

Thank Patrick

When I use the new index.php file I get

123
123
123
123
123
123
123
123

Many Thanks

Not that I am aware of, its just a little odd you're getting a php error
on the first page.

I've attached a debugging index.php - rename this file index.php and put
it in the root folder (rename your old index file first).

Then let me know what you see.

It means there is something on index.php that is throwing an error - are
you using the main index.php?

Its at the first page, I don't know enough about it to work out why. Any
thing you can do to help would be appreciated.

Ok, on the first page? Or after logging in?

Thanks Patrick,

We have the install running in the same structure as our Moodle site
which also uses ldap. We are using IIS running PHP.

I have the following settings set for LDAP

Ldap host: ad.highbury.ac.uk (our moodle one is
ldaps://192.16.8.1)
Ldap port: 389
Ldap password: (password for bind account)
Ldap base: OU=Staff,DC=ad,DC=highbury,DC=ac,DC=uk
Ldap bind: CN=xerte,OU=Special
Users,DC=ad,DC=highbury,DC=ac,DC=uk
First Ldap filter sAMAccountName
Second Ldap filter cn=

When I go the site http://mycourse.highbury.ac.uk/xerte all I get up a
blank page.

I am keen to get this running as we have been asked to showcase / test
this as part of the 157 Group.

Many Thanks in advance.

Paul
