[Xerte] Navigation conundrum

I have a framework with a proto page attached.

In an SCR just above that framework I dupe the proto x times, then halt to give the user a choice as to which page they want to start at.
At what point of the flow can I invoke a navigate to those duplicated pages?

Tried a few things, the odd thing is my onscreen navigation page counter says I'm going to the right page, but the data is always being loaded from node[0].
