FW: [Xerte] small bug with youtube feed and menu navigation

Couldn't resist that. It's because the youtube compopnent needs a
dynamic ID generating - I forget why exactly, but you can't just give it
an id and then have all the events work: you need to make a unique one.
I think it's because there might be more than one youtube player in a
piece, and they don't get killed properly when moving between pages. The
youtube player I load is outside my control.

The icon property of the vent was set to 'youtube' - it is now set to
engine[ytID], which is the current youtube component.

Hi Julian

I had a quick look to try to find the difference between the old and new
model but couldn't spot what was causing the toggle to stop working with
the new one - any ideas?

Cheers

Ron

No sorry I meant the YouTube clip full screen toggle. E.g. the
magnifying glass

Seems to work on older LO's but not with the new model.

Full screen works for me:

Run example below;

Go to page two

Select full screen / fillwindow

What happens for you?

Oh. Just uploaded the model to my site and all seemed fine but then
tested the full screen toggle and that didn't work so tested your link
below and it doesn't work on that either (irrespective of menu or linear
view) but does on an older version. Are there variable clashes or
something?

Hi Pat/Julian

In prep for some training I've tweaked a copy of your 560 page types
demo and enabled menu rather than linear navigation. In my installation
this results in a small bug with the YouTube feed page and I'm wondering
if you can reproduce that or if it's just my installation: e.g.

If I add a search term in the YouTube feed page and view the page all
works fine when set to linear navigation. However when the LO is set to
menu navigation the YouTube feed page seems to stop working. Does the
same happen in your installation? If so any ideas?

Cheers

Ron
