Cap well and truly doffed - glad we persevered with the request for the
ability to find just Xerte content! ;-)

You could also have said that there is a guide to the Open Content settings
linked from your site http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/xerte/toolkits.htm and the
http://www.techdis.ac.uk/getxerte page.

Well done to everyone involved!

Subject: [Xerte] Xpert Repository

Just to let you know the Xpert repository now allows searches for Xerte
Online Toolkits content on the advanced search: try an advanced search
for 'bolton' and select type: Xerte Online Toolkits: you'll find all the
toolkits materials published by the University of Bolton who have been
working with us on the Xpert project.

If you seach for 'Page Types' you'll find my demo piece. Notice in this
one that there are links in the description to download the source code,
because I tiked the relavant boxes in its properties. This allows users
elsewhere to take a learning object from one system, download it and
upload it into their system where they can repurpose it / change it or
just use it as it is. Alternatively, they can get it as a SCORM package.

I do not know of any other suite of tools that allows this sort of
collaboration with open content.

Can you join me in doffing your caps to Pat who has just declared the
xpert code 'finished'.

J
