Hello Xerte Team,

Thank you for the upgrades.

What is the correct procedure for upgrading an existing Xerte On-line
toolkits installation to version 1.5?

Kind regards

Johnathan

Subject: [Xerte] News: Xerte 2.6 and Xerte Online Toolkits 1.5

There is an updated version of Xerte (2.6) and a new version of toolkits
(1.5) on the website for download. Xerte 2.6 is a maintainance release
with a few bug fixes.

Xerte Online Toolkits 1.5 contains two new templates for creating
content:

Media Interactions allows a sequence of interactivity to be presented
alongside a piece of media (sdound / video / flash). We have had a lot
of success with similar content used to teach modern languages.

Multiple Perspectives is a template that allows a number of videos to be
presented, offering the user a number of different perspectives on an
issue or problem. This is a popular pedagogy in the arts and humanities,
where problems may not have a single 'right' answer. The template aims
to deepen the user's understanding of the issue or problem.

Xerte Online Toolkits 1.5 also integrates with the Xpert repository,
allowing content to be easily published to the repository. Other
toolkits users can find your content using xpert, and then download it
for import into their own toolkits installation.
