[Xerte] XOT install - down the rabbit hole

OK, and now the FF vs. IE thingy.

I have FF set up to ask me whenever a site wants to set a cookie.
For some reason, the XOT setup did not pop that request when it wanted to set the session cookie. So, no cookie, no session info, edit.php returns "".
Set the domain to accept cookies, all good.

FireFox vs. IE tangle.

I take it other folks are using toolkits via FF OK, so it has to be specific to my setup.

I'm starting to wonder if it has something to do with querystrings.

url/index.php loads in both browsers.

url/edit.php pulls up blank in both browsers.

url/edit.php?template_id=9
Works in IE.
Blank page in FireFox.

So querystring not being processed?
Session info not being passed?

=======================

And here's another interesting one.

I added index.php to the default directory page setting so
http://www.domain.com/install_dir/
would execute without having to type the additional "index.php"

But when I hit logout now, I get a "Virtual directory listing denied" error.
So the internal scripts must kill the session and redirect back to the install directory, but it acts as if it does not recognize the default page anymore.

Weird, but true.
