I had clicked on Publish in the project editing window and had then
clicked on play to preview the results. However the preview failed to
display the additional pages I had added to the project.

I think I found the cause of the problem, shortly after I posted, though
I am not sure why it happened.

After finding that I could not save any edits to my project, I tried to
copy the project. A message was displayed saying that I did not have
permission (or maybe the right) to copy the project and then the project
disappeared from the list of projects.

I closed my browser down and reopened it, then connected again to Xerte.
>From then on I could see the project, edit it and save it.

So I am guessing that the session must have timed out.

Can any one advise on how to configure the timing for session
management?

Kind regards

Johnathan

The editor window requires you to preview for the work to be saved.

If you go in, make a lot of changes and then leave (without previewing),
the preview file will not be updated.

You should be able to edit all files (regardless of status) at any time

publishingproject

I have xerte on-line toolkits running on a test server.

Log on is by ldap. Whilst we still have an issue with getting Xerte to
require a valid password, the login routine allows you in if you provide
a valid ldap account name.

I created a new project added four pages a title page, summary page,
flash paper and a chart.

I then published the project in the editor and then published the
project from the My projects screen.

Now I can open the project and edit it, but any thing I add to the
project is not displayed in the preview and is lost once I close the
editing window.

Is there some setting I need to change so that a project can continue to
be edited once it has been published?

Kind regards
