I think it’s my fault for
leaving hidden tracks in the code like some 60’s album.

Try logging in as “ACrowley” and
see what happens J

If you added a username and
password to the admin fields when you ran set-up then visit management.php to
make the changes you need. If you didn’t add an admin account during setup then
add that direct to the database and then visit management.php.

Subject: [Xerte] Xerte Toolkits Setup

Hello Xerte Team,

Having installed Xerte On-line toolkits I am
now a little wiser than I was when I first ran the setup and I would like to
change some of the settings.

However If I run the setup once again I am
presented with a blank screen. I had expected that the software would recover the
original settings so that I could edit them.

This of course raises a security issue that I
think has been discussed elsewhere on the list.

I guess the ideal situation is for the
ability to create super user accounts or at least one admin account that has
the ability to rerun the setup so as to modify configuration settings. Or is
this already possible and I don't know about it :-)

Any way I am now in a position where I can
edit some of the settings by editing the values in the sitedetails table, but
some of the fields appear to be encrypted in some way. These seem to be the
news_text, pod_one and pod_two fields. Is there some way of editing them. It
seems a shame that I cannot change a simple link to the demo, removing the
java script and repointing the href link to the demo of toolkits.

Kind regards

Johnathan
