[Xerte] Issue with <? tag

What's causing the 1 to appear?

Hi All,

Attached is a pdf of part of the problems I have encountered in not
using the executable. Could I suggest that when there is a spare moment
the <? tag is changed to <?php to help us who arent on XAMMP.
