To import an animated GIF into Flash:

   1. Select File> Import.
   2. Select the animated GIF file.
   3. Select OK. When Macromedia Flash recognizes that the file is an animated GIF it will extract the individual frames. The series will be placed on one layer as a series of key frames. The frames will be spaced to reflect the timeline of the animated GIF.

I realize this is a bit old school.
It appears fine, but is there any way to make it play?
Transparency will be a separate issue.

Merry [whatever]!
