[Xerte] Custom Interface - Xerte Template Wizard

Guys, 

When adding a "custom interface" (a swf) in the Xerte wizard it pops up fine
initially but when I go to the next page of the lesson it disappears. How do
I make it stay as an interface throughout? 

I've tried adding it as an "Icon" but that doesn't align properly and then
the text and graphics overlap it. Also I looked in the XML and can't seem to
find an obvious solution. Am I doing something wrong?
