[Xerte] Problems with playback of flv files

I imagine this problem is due to Riva, as I have not had any issues with
all sorts of FLVs created with other pieces of software. Can you try
something else and see if you get consistent results?

Thank you, especially for the re-assurance on the einstein video.

I appreciate that file size could be an issue but if were to be streamed
like the weather forecast, maybe not so bad.

I've now ascertained that there seems to be a limit on the frame size of
320 * 240. There doesn't appear to be a limit on the file size, so
320*240 at 1600 works fine but 400*300 at 768 with 8 fps which yields a
smaller file will not display properly.

Is this a technical or a software limitation? I can envisage materials
where a higher level of detail might well be appropriate. I may be asked
to clarify this point next Friday so an 'authoritative' answer would be
helpful.

I do appreciate I am trying to push the limits but if we are going to
provide front line support for Xerte as Regional Support Centres, we
need to understand what the actual limitations are rather than those
that stem from user inexperience.

Kindest Regards,

Thomas

the einstein sample is mute, so you won't hear any sound.

Your settings will create a very big file - it might not have downloaded
yet, if in fact it has uploaded successfully, try 320 x 240 and a lower
bitrate,
