[Xerte] FLV / Movie - Synchronisation

you can add cue point with actionscript, and then trap the events.

Set up the movie icon;
give it an ID
id.addASCuePoint(seconds, name);

then use an event handler to get the event

icon is the id;
eventName is the name you used in addASCuePoint

See how you get on. addASCuePoint doesn't necessarily add the cue point
at exactly the point you specify - I think it goes on the nearest
keyframe, so it depends to an extent on how you encode the video. For
real accuracy I think you have to add the cue point with the video
encoder. The events should then still fire I think.

Or do I need to use cue points?

Is it not possible to synchronise on an FLV in the same way as a sound?
