I think for some areas it would be great, mainly the modules folder which contains a lot of client side stuff like xenith and scorms stuff. Problems with them often sit dormant until a particular page model or browser is used...<br>

I think Ron has made a good point aginst this in the past for a blanket auto update though in that people have tweaked some of the php files to do speciic things and we could break some peoples installs. I think that was my idea around having Wordpress style hooks in xerte. It means people can keep their code seperate from the core and then, if properly managed, their code should work on newer versions.<br>
