Well, further to your testing I was now able to reproduce the problem on BrowserStack using IE10.<br>

What I am seeing (hopefully you can confirm) is that when you click create 3x files load asynchronously and one of them is logout.php... (see screenshot) but its not the same files as on the older sandpit install.<br>
<br>
I'm not sure yet why it is loading that file though or indeed why it is not doing it in other browsers but we're a step closer to locating the problem. It must be in a recent change to the javascript though so at least its closer to being tracked down.<br>

ok I've been testing further and there are too many variables to conclude<br>
for sure but here's a summary...<br>

Have been testing with 2.1 branch from git<br>
As far as I can tell there's definitely a problem with IE 10 which in my<br>
case doesn't occur with IE 11 or other browsers<br>
Have tested with two separate Windows 7 installs with IE 10 and can<br>
reproduce the problem with both IE10's and via xampp as well as an online<br>
linux install<br>
the same installs work fine via IE 11 and also as decribed previously<br>
earlier XOT code works fine with the same IE 10<br>
I've been testing the local xampp installs via guest auth and the online<br>
installs via moodle so the authentication method doesn't seem important<br>
<br>
If you have IE10 and access to the server we used previously for testing<br>
updates you can test as follows:<br>
1. Visit <a href="http://vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xot" target="_blank">http://vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/xot</a> (latest 2.1 branch) try creating a<br>
project you should get a session error?<br>
2. Visit <a href="http://vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/sandpit" target="_blank">http://vle.jisctechdis.ac.uk/sandpit</a> (earlier 2.1 branch) try<br>
creating a project should work<br>
Other browsers should work fine on both installs although curious as to<br>
whether Julian or anyone else gets session errors with firefox?<br>

Not sure if it's relevant or a problem just with the Win 7 via Parrallels I<br>
was using on my Mac to test a second IE10 on a different pc but on that I<br>
was also getting the following js error:<br>

As I say that may be a red herring but the error I can reproduce reliably<br>

I think an issue I mentioned in the thread entitled testing results got lost<br>
in the discussion about re-running setup so I'm checking again along with a<br>
separate issue I've noticed.<br>

Issue 1<br>
I downloaded xertetoolkits_2.1 Version:2.1 Last update 2014-03-14 from the<br>
community site and from my testing this revision is not reliable e.g. one<br>
minute I can create an LO and the next minute I get one of two errors when<br>
trying to create a new lo:<br>
Session ID not set<br>
or<br>
Invalid template_id (could not find in DB)<br>

Q. Does this not happen for others?<br>

Issue 2<br>
In an older revision that I've been using which seems to be relatively<br>
trouble free I've noticed that one or more files named something like<br>
example_zipper_new_xyz. is getting created and included in any successful<br>
export but also still residing in the project folder on the server.<br>
<br>
Q. Does anyone recognise this? Was it fixed in a later revision that doesn't<br>
have the session issue above?<br>
