<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 13px; ">Hi Pat,<div><br></div><div>The benefit of the centralised approach is that you can start to set/enforce some standards around coding, documentation and support services.</div><div><br></div><div>It doesn't stop people feeding into the development, either with modular plugins, or even to the core code.</div><div><br></div><div>Like Julian, hosting's not for everyone, but you could have partners that offer those sort of services with a percentage of revenue going back into the central organisation (which would need to be a foundation or company or some such entity).</div><div><br></div><div>I've done a lot of very large corporate projects where Xerte would have been a perfect fit technically, but organisationally did not fit at all. If we could have dealt with a Xerte organisation, with guaranteed support it would have made things much easier.</div><div><br></div><div>Mark </div></div>
