<div>Hi Ian and Welcome aboard,</div><div> </div><div>I’m chiefly responsible for the USB version of XoT which has helped to get people started even before their IT Department has installed a server version. I also help our Learning providers with installation issues, especially problems with Active Directory authentication which is the preferred method for FE and other Colleges.</div>
<div> </div><div>For the future, which I believe to be HTML-5, I’m keen to see if we can get Xerte to work better with mobile devices. Maybe voice activated? This would presumably require some re-shaping of the canvas too. I’m also interested in using IMAP as an authentication system - this will not only help Learning providers without Active Directory but also those using hosted services (such as JANET and AMAZON) who do not support the PHP LDAP plugin - allegedly because it interferes with the Zend Optimiser in Apache. Development/Enhancement of the present SCORM capability would also be popular with providers who require this to evidence progression. </div>
