Hi Fay,

I installed from develop a week ago and the full install gave me loads of errors so I clicked the xampp install and it went through fine. I checked out github develop straight to the webserver folder and then just ran setup.

Oh also, I went to index.html initially and it gave loads of errors and had to navigate to /setup/ manually so that initial redirect bit didn't work either.

Subject: [Xerte-dev] Problems with XAMPP install of develop code

I've done a fresh install of the develop code in XAMPP and am getting some errors. I'm not sure if they're Toolkits or XAMPP related (newly installed XAMPP too)

Firstly, on the 'Toolkits has been installed' page I get these errors:

Sorry, The query CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS has failed. MySQL reports the following error - 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
Sorry, The query USE has failed. MySQL reports the following error - 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

Then, if I create a project and try to edit it I get stuck on the loading screen with the following errors:

SyntaxError: malformed hexadecimal character escape sequence (edithtml.php line 118)
mediavariable="C:\xampp\htdocs\xertetoolkits/USER-FILES/1-guest2-Nottingham/media/";

If I change $rlo_path in edithtml.php to reference users_file_area_short rather than users_file_area_full (like it does in the Flash version) then the editor loads.
But then this seems to cause a problem with uploading files - I get the error 'Invalid backend configuration. Readable volumes not available.' when the import media window opens.

Any ideas? Does anyone else running it on XAMPP have these problems?

The flash editor works fine.

Thanks
Fay
