Yeah but if people visit github and download 2.1 because they think that's
the version they have the changes don't exist there. Should 2.1 in github
therefore be removed or the same fix applied.

The changes to site play and preview are in the zip I attached.

With an issue like this affected by an external change ideally we need to
fix and announce along with how to fix instructions. But the other issue is
this is just like the various YouTube changes over the years - exported LO's
don't get fixed by a fixed installation and needs to be fixed for each
export or re-exported. The most recent message on the community site forum
listed www.nottingham.ac.uk/~cczjrt/sheppard/ as an example not working and
I guess that's a case in point Julian?

2.1 was only used during testing. You have to realise that the 2.1 zip is
built from master.

But I haven't fixed site yet...

Hi all

this is likely to crop up quite a bit now I think, as reported again on the
community site forums. I know Tom has committed the required changes to the
develop, editor and master branches but how do we best help those to want a
quick fix rather than performing a full upgrade? As we know there are a lot
of people who don't update their installations regularly and don't use
github etc.

I think we probably need to announce this kind of issue too e.g. where it's
likely to affect lot's of installs.

As far as I can tel the 3 files affected are 

\modules\site\play.php

\modules\site\preview.php

\modules\xerte\player_html5\rloObject.htm

but can they just be replaced from the fixed branches without introducing
other issues due to dependencies not in place in older installs? Not saying
I know of any but assume there could be?
