Er.... on our setup, the git repos are on the same server as trac. Perhaps you could setup some sort of automated pull to the server running trac.

I'd still suggest github - you'll get more exposure / patches / contributions..... if people have to create accounts on your trac system before they can commit / provide patches / report bugs ... they may not bother.
