[Xerte-dev] Re: Xerte for Students - incoming problem?

Not really my area but the intermittent nature would make one think some action seemingly unrelated to the upload function itself might be killing the session.
Something like, when it comes up on the default Project tab I usually (but not always) hit Save as a matter of habit.
If some of the affected folks could give us the EXACT series of steps they took prior to the error message?

> Yeah, not really sure why... even the latest person I've been helping, he was using Safari and Firefox so thought it was the classic Flash Bug but Chrome reports that it has uploaded, yet preview isn't available (because it didn't work) and I've just tested a brand new install v2.0/R1024 again in both Mac Safari and Mac/Windows Firefox and all works for me...

> His issue seems to be the session bug you experienced though (and Pat thinks so too) because not only the media issue but random logouts and an error message when he accesses Media and Quota tab say something like "you do not have permission to access this resource"... which usually occurs if your session has expired...

I’ll know more next week when I meet them, but this media upload problem seems to be a worry.

> This DL in the Disciplines series of projects will establish not only a network of Xerte installations in HE with the HEA but also a habit of empowering students in a number of disciplines to be creative with it – and they can be a grumbly bunch when it gives them grief. If you have any suggestions as to how I might placate their fears then please let me know before I meet the Academics on Wednesday next week.
