Thomas,

This is not MathJax but the old way of implementing TeX. And yes, I 
checked and that server is not working. They replaced the server and 
changed the OS from BSD to Linux. The executable used, doesn't run any 
more. I'll do my best and rebuild the executable for Linux.

In the mean time you can use LaTeX in MathJax by placing the LaTeX 
formula between \( and \), i.e. \(a \indent \frac{(x - h)^2} { a^2} + 
\frac{(y - v)^2} {b^2} = 1\)
