Would forcing all uploaded filenames to lowercase fix this?

Are the extensions uppercase by any chance? If you change to .mp4 instead of .MP4 and re-link the file does that solve the problem?
If that doesn't solve the problem what about removing any spaces from the filename and re-linking does that solve it?

I helped someone with this previously and I think it was one of those two scenarios that was causing the download link rather than playing the mp4. But have been extremely busy with other things and no time to investigate and see if a code tweak would avoid this.

Hi Julian,

I understand from Tom that you use FormatFactory for creating MP4 videos to use in Xerte.
I use FormatFactory also but I can't find the right settings :(
What settings do you use to create MP4 videos? Our MP4's are downloadable instead of streaming.

Bye,
Inge
