is there a way in the editor to know which language to publish? We could end up publishing a lot of language files... should this be a property of the .rlo / .rlt?

Yes, I think that would be better (easier to maintain).

At the moment the code in the editor copies the languages folder from /publish to the location of the piece. Should we be copying a different folder [root]/languages instead? Then we only need one set of the files…

If I look at the code in the editor, all language files (i.e for the engine) . At the moment, they are NOT copied from the 'normal' language folder.

Perhaps that should be changed.

After the installer has run, wha files do you expect in [runtime]/publish/languages?

There is only language-config.xml there right now

Ehmm... the installer itself should take care of everything, i.e. the files should be copied to the right locations by the installer, but I don't do anything special.

The last thing I changed in the editor, is make sure, that when we do not have a pages project, the pages are not available.

They are getting copied from publish/languages, and there is only language-config.xml in there. I’ve added the two English ones.

I’m just wondering if Tom did anything to setup to copy and config the language options when you run the installer?

It should be OK now anyway??

It’s the missing language files, definitely, that is causing the problem.

If you publish from the wizard does your project now preview in a browser?

I just tried republishing my project using the option from the wizard but it still won't run in a web browser.

I think the publishing thing is because the language files aren’t being copied. I get a languages folder, but not the english files.

Strangely, though, if I publish a page template from the wizard, I do get them…
