Looking at the things we said on the normal list, people are waiting for 
1.8, I don't think Xerte standalone is such an issue, you can even 
install two versions if you want to.

What I really want to do is see whether you can edit an existing LO with 
the current Nottingham template.

I don't really know how big multi-language is compared to HTML5, but I 
have certainly a lot of people waiting on it... We have over 350 people 
using our rudimentary (unmaintainable) Dutch xot translation. And that's 
just the people who weren't willing to wait.

But I do concur, we can't wait indefinitely, and we can't have people 
doing to many (big) releases in a short time.

On the other hand, if you hold off, you end up at some point fixing 
issues in the current 1.7 release...
