Pat,

What do you mean with module? A page within a page template, or a 
complete different template?

I don't think I understand what you want to achieve, so I am not sure I 
have an educated answer.

With respect to automatically fetch things from svn, I do that at the 
moment in the translation website, but I am convinced it is NOT such a 
good idea for XOT itself. I think as admin of XOT website you want to be 
able to control the templates and even on purpose not give access to 
several of the available features.
