This is how it should work...

On the learning object you add the Media File optional property and upload a audio or video file.  You can also add a media image (to go with audio files only) and media transcript.  There's a sample transcript file you can use in the svn at mediaViewer/ sampleTranscript.xml

Then when previewing the project you will then see a new button on the control bar.  Click this and a new window will open showing the media with any captions you added with the transcript.

However, just looking at the test installation the options aren't showing up in the menu.  I don't really get why as if I look in the toolkits svn the xwd has the properties in it and if I run it in xampp they show up and it works.  Is the test installation running up to date files?  I haven't just added the media bits in though so not sure why they would be there now and not in the test version.

Viewer should be exported or not:

Media viewer should export if the media attribute is set on the LO tag. Fay can confirm this - we haven't used it yet, but it's to allow a global piece of media to be associated with a piece, as you could in media Interactions. The media opens in a separate window, and a global button pops the window open.


How does this work? What attribute is added?
